National Field day Certificate
Hello Willard Parents,
I hope all is well with you and your family during these uncertain times. I’m blessed that my family and I are well despite us all having a case of cabin fever.
With the closure of our school building many of Willard’s end of the year traditions have had to be postponed or cancelled. With this being said, I’m excited to let you know that my colleagues (Mrs. Murphy-Thoreau and Mr. Gaudreau -Alcott School) and I have found an exciting at home field day. National Field Day 2020 is being shared with Physical Education teachers by the On-line Physical Education network (openphysed.org). This fun filled day will take place on Friday, May 8th 2020. Schools from all 50 states will be participating in this event. It is designed to be a relaxing fun family event. There are over 20 creative games that use items commonly found in our homes. We would love to see all of Concord’s children participate, however please don’t feel obligated to participate if it doesn’t work for your family.
I will be including all the information about this event on my web page where you can access it by going to the side menu item labeled National Field Day. I will be adding additional information, as we get closer to the event. I hope that you will explore the activities, practice plans and other communications posted.
I am so happy that we are able to have this alternative field day and look forward to Willard participating in this great event.
Just a reminder that I will be continuing to post my virtual PE lesson on my web page, but during the week of April 27- May 1st and the week of May 4th -7th for those that plan on participating on National Field Day doing the practice activities leading up to the day will suffice.
Stay safe and be well,
Mr. Germond
